Views on overstocked tanks

I think overstocking a mbuna tank is a good idea. It helps spread out aggression and I think they like the activity. Just as long as the overstocking is reasonable. 40 some fish in a 55 gallon is ridiculous, but 15 or so is reasonable.

not saying im not in the market for others though..

i know if i saw a knockout fish i just wouldnt be able to resist

I hear you. I just lost half of my stock in my 55 gallon. Now I'm itching to replace them with something awesome.

Overstocking is the way to go for Malawi Africans, without a doubt. Some will go as far as to create a very spartan tank, with few decorations/hiding places to discourage territories being setup. (I'm not one of those guys though)

As others have said, just make sure your filtration is up to snuff.
