Joshy,

Get 2 celestial eye goldfish, so when they reach maturity, they scare the crap out of your guest while they are sitting down.

Any lighting on that thing or ambient only???.........also i always wondered how you would filter such a thing.........now I know.........poorly........UGF??.........Like you said understock bro big ttime.......

But I think the tank is beautiful, If you can make it work!!:)

RadleyMiller: Haha love the celestial eye goldfish idea! They would actually give the impression they are looking up at you. Excellent.

Freeskierrocket: Totally, and I recon a sole fancy goldfish in 75 gallons is plenty under stocked.

I did look into other types of these tables, ones that came with heaters and made for tropicals. However after doing some investigations and prodding, I would really suggest against tropicals. Condensation is supposed to be a major problem with these if you heat the water above the room temperature. If you consider the point is to be able to look down on the fish through the ‘lid’, so it is not good if the ‘lid view’ is obscured by condensation.
A shame because for a second I considered some African butterfly fish.

not worth it in my opinion (ive tried)
1) your fish will always be stressed if this will be used in a room that actually gets used, and its actually used as a coffee table. i had mine in my home office.. no traffic or use.
while ill admit its cool to have, heres the biggy...
2) the glass top gets nothing but condisation on it, and looks like hell. the only way you'll see the fish is if you get on your knees.

just think about it before buying

I considered the condensation issue, but those who i spoke to said they did not have a problem with room temperature water. It was when they heated it to keep tropicals that issue occurred.

Were you heating the water mjryan?

yes. 74-76*. year round problem for me despite the room temp (summer/winter)
