Vinegar and tank cleaning warning

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ha. Ha. Ha.

I live alone, so unless my cat did something, then the mystery continues.

No, I did not test wrong. I use the API liquid test... I tested it with the normal ph test and it immediately went high, then with the high ph test and it immediately went high.

After refilling, the ph is at 7.

Factors: The water was not dechlorinated, it was simply a test fill to see if the tank held water. It has new sand, and an old piece of driftwood that was rinsed in hot water before being put in the tank. It sat overnight.

do you sleepwalk?

Is a robber increasing the pH of your tank....Did you anger anyone lately because a pH of ten is crazy. Most test kits around my area do not even go that high on the scale haha

I have had people put stuff in store tanks its not fun !
One squirt of dog shampo or flea and tick produces makes a very coastly mess. I had a 12 tank system with about a 30-40 gallon sump all full of both of them.
