Yeah, mine is getting big fast as well. It is about 7 in now and in a long 55 gallon. You can't buy enough stress coat to make fish stop "touching" each other. Anyhow, I think I'm going to go with the indoor pond model when I graduate.

What did I read..they can get up to 30-36 inches in the wild?

seems around 3' is the general concencus on full grown wild size for a red belly.

Yes, that is what I read researching them. I rescued one locally here and he was about 16". They have AWESOME personalities let me tell ya! He went to a 500 gallon tank. I just wish I lived closer to her to help her more. :(

How much does she want for the smaller one?? If its cheap I may find a 300 for him.
Is she selling the oscar as well?

Thought with all of us being fish lovers I would share something she shared with me. Makes me angry how come people have such a little heart when it comes to fish:

P.S.) I contacted VA Wildlife and Game. They gave me a few BS options. One of which told me it was perfectly okay to eat aquarium raised fish. !!!!! Do you believe that?????????????????????????? How hard would it be to have a list of rescue groups.

Anyway, she does not want any money for the fish...only a great home where they will be well cared for and loved. She will split them up as well. So if anyone has a home for either one or the other or both....pm me for more information. Thanks guys!

I have been searching online for local fish clubs in the Virginia area....anyone who is familiar with the state could you help me with some names of those and any large fish stores (no chain stores as those normally won't take in fish).

Thanks

I know she does not have a way to transport them any long distances......so thanks for the offer unless you can drive and pick up. They are free!!!

Davey...I just got off the phone with that store and at first he didn't want them as he said that size they would be babysitting them as they are hard to find homes for at that size...but at the end of our conversation he changed his mind and said that she could bring them there worse case scenario. So I will let her know, but again...anyone local...this is your last chance. Thanks guys for the info. (have you been on that stores website??? The front picture of that flowerhorn....just BEAUTIFUL!)
