well that blows, i need cookies for facebook and watching vids! ahwell it will keep my computer safe anyways. i may lower the cookie file later but not now.

I have used Bullguard internet security for the past 3 years after using McAfee and Norton before that and it beats the hell out of them. I gave up on McAfee after it repeatedly failed to eliminate trojans, as well as other virus types, and Norton was very heavy on my pc's resources and the previous two were double the price of Bullguard.
You couldn't give me Norton for free and you would have to pay me to risk my pc with McAfee. However those experiences are from 3+ years back and I am sure they have improved since then but since using Bullguard I have never had a complaint and if something has been stubborn then Bullguard tech services get back to you withing the hour with a solution.

None of them are perfect but the best I have been told and read about are Bullguard, Kapersky, ESET and BitDefender. These will all cost you money to get though and you need to pay every 12 months to get the updates. I have heard good things about Microsoft's protection and it is free.

Free stuff like malware bytes do not generally give you real time protection and will only help if your pc gets infected beforehand. They aren't prevention measures like an internet security suite.

Get ccleaner and just set it so that it deletes your cookies every night and enable your cookies
