I've got a flourescent designed for growing aquarium plants in there right now, if they don't work out I'm going to try a 5.0 UVB flourescent instead and see how that goes.

I purposely picked low light requirement plants, though. So hopefully everything works out.

How often do you change your sand out?

Cool, I'm glad you have a light for the plants. My wife bought one of those succulent arrangements from Wally-World a few years ago and it lived a pretty long time on just office lighting. They’re pretty hardy. Oh yeah, and keeping those plants in the tank should help raise the humidity for you.

I change out all the sand in my tanks every few months. Because leopard geckos are like cats and go in an assigned litter area, I remove that areas sand every couple of weeks. Helps to keep things clean and any possible smell down.

Yeah the humidity is already up to 32% and staying that way, so I'm pretty stoked there. I'm thinking I can just mist the succulents when it declines and it will serve two purposes since that's how succulents collect their water anyway.

The aloe's looking worse for wear from the transplant and I'm hoping it recovers but if it continues to go limp I'll probably have to remove the pots and give them some real sunlight until they snap out of it.

nice but i thought leps liked bark chipping / cocnut chipping substrate?

They certainly dont, as stated their enviornment is far from having tropical conditions.

nice looking set up

I like it. I think of Visions as more "utility cages" but with the decor & flourescent lighting you've made a nice display.
