Vista all the way for me...i have no compatibility issues, all features and functions are easy to find and quick to access...Never looked back to Xp since i changed to Vista, which was around about Beta 1...
The only thing I can get ANYONE to complain about to back up their claim that vista is a piece of crap OS is that it uses too much ram, doesn't have a pic resizer, or has too many bugs. If it has so many bugs, what are they? Using too much ram is obviously a faulty claim, as explained below. No pic resizer is a very small thing when you are talking about a brand new OS that has taken years to design.Potts050;2581103; said:I run the Vista Enterprise version and sitting idle with only one open aplication it runs 1.8 meg of RAM. As soon as you start opening things up, particularly Office 2007 applications, it starts climbing pretty fast.
Obviously the amount of background features you have turned on will limit or increase the amount of idle usage RAM. My gaming machine runs XP which has been around long enough be pretty stable and relatively economical on RAM.
My favourite operating system is Leopard. I got a new MAC about 3 months ago and just love the thing!
