I was just at that DNL Fish store on San Gabriel and I'm pretty sure its a VATF. Has the small speckled scaling and a more extended snout where as the GATF has a mirror like scaling and the nose is more blunt. PTF store in pasadena has what I believe is a 4in GATF at $299, which Im using as a comparison to the VATF at DNL store.

Correct me if I'm wrong on the id though.

The guy was pretty cool to talk to and seemed like the type you could negotiate that price down if you showed up with cash and dont mind haggling.

Otherwise the store has a some interesting stocks and it sounded like the guy likes to stock relatively rare stuff when he comes across it.

He's the second most respectable store owner to talk to... others will try to BS u and stuff..

But seeing that he has all the rare fish.. u can tell he's no noob owner..

thats the only ATF, in general that i have seen... know another place that sells Goliath and african pike... All happy aquarium..

But ATF are just too darn expensive.... I hope you find what your looking for.....

That's a great looking Temensis. Great markings and colors.
I'm sure the colors are more vibrant in person.

ohh that place next to the taco bell..i been there few times..he gots some rbps n couple stingrays but way over priced!!!..he had some baby snakeheads as well but i think there all sold. but then again that place is a lil overpriced on almost everything there.

I'll try to see if there are any around.. VATF aren't that common....

I know def some of the more popular fish store will have it.. try Orange County 405, tongs...

OR.. i heard that Riverwonders in Torrance has good variety.. but its sorta online store....
