Viva La Crenicichla!

I guess its time to let this cat out of the bag. I finally pulled the trigger a little over four months ago and grabbed a pair of unsexed Crenicichla zebrina. Huge risk? Yes. Worth it? Definitely! Turns out I managed to actually get a male and a female, and well, as you can see, they are definitely bonded!

Here they are shortly after I got them about four months ago. Thin, not showing a lot of color, reserved and skittish.

Couple of current shots that I took this weekend. Totally different fish. Filled out, vibrant colors, bold and curious. Love them! Who knew four months could make such a big difference?

Great Pair senor Jer !! nice creni-keeping - they have come along nicely in your tank a few months.... Beautious sweet Pikes - top of the line! Now if we could get some Tigrina, to compare, more Multispinosa, maybe some elusive Rosemariae? That would be a special collection indeed.
