i thought the point of the vodka was that it is food for the anaerobic bacteria, not phosphates?
the bacteria also feeds on phosphate and niterates,,,

i know the bacteria processes nitrate, but this is the first i've heard it works on phosphates. does anyone have similar experiences?

I still would never add this to my tank!!! What ever happened to the good old plenum and a phosphate remover????
