I got this rock from a coworker that picked it up in Hawaii. It's a volcanic rock, and it was cool, so he thought I might like it for my aquarium. It's been in the aquarium for a year. I just noticed it has yellow crystalline deposits on it. They look like gemstones. Because they are yellow, I thought maybe it was amber, but amber doesn't form crystals like this. Typically gemstones will form under intense pressure and be dispersed during volcanic eruptions. What do you think? Hopefully Oddball will use his non-fish powers to tell me I am rich!
