Do the fish get changed/reclassified a lot? I always use pikecichlid.com for reference but it looks like a lot of that information hasn't been updated in years. They have rosemariae and tigrina listed as Lugubris.

Crenicichla are so confusing.
I'm pretty sure that rosemariae is classified now as a lacustris group pike. I might be wrong on tigrina but I'm fairly sure they are not lugubris group.

+1. Pretty sure they are not in Lugubris either. No need to be technical though, haha. I was going to do a Reticulata, a Lacustris, and a Acutirostris group, but decided to stick with these two for 'simplicity'. Haha

Instead of starting a new thread, I thought I would just ask here since a few others have also. Is there any recent news concerning Creni. Rosemariae floating around in the hobby? I have been reading about them for a few months but there's not many recent articles about them. I would definitely devote a tank to a pair, or even one if i could get my hands on one. Tigrina are awesome too!

I voted for Marms, particularly rio trombetas, but cincta come in a close second.

After much thought - . . - - - finally voted marmorata !
the Lugubris group is most problemic of all, lents at the top also.
Cincta is a personal fav too - so many choices!!!!!!

If I could get a nice group of Trombetas or Rosemaries.....They would definitely pull me back into keeping Crens.

Cr. Rosemarie are a very cool pike but my vote went for lents. I love the way they look.
