I would say the pH would be better suited to group 2. The fish in group one would prefer a higher pH around 8. They could adapt to 7.3 but may not do as well. There are plenty of ways to raise the pH such as adding buffer or crushed coral gravel/limestone.
I voted for group 1. Because I think group two will give you more aggression-related headaches. If you go with group one, I would consider buffering the pH up a bit.

Thanks for the heads up. I will definitely take the pH into consideration when choosing the fish.

I am an american cichlid lover at heart so i chose #2, I personally would change the blood parrots to any kind of severum(one of my favorite American cichlids) if you enjoy oranges and reds you could go with a red spotted severum. You could also go with green severums for a more natural look. In the end it is your choice, these are just our opinions if YOU like a specific fish the go for it! Don't let us control how you set up your tank as long as you take good care of your finned friends then everything is A okay. Enjoy your new tank!

Although I keep mostly Central American myself, either 1 or 2 would work in a 100 gal.
That said I also consider red parrots to be mutant aborations.
In choice #1 I'd probably leave out the bumble bee because they can be hyper aggressive especially if housed with mild mannered types like the African peacocks.
I also would leave out the Kribensis because it is a soft water cichlid, and does not have the proper temperament to be housed with rift lake African's, they are more of a swamp/stream dwelling west African.
List #1 would be a generally more colorful tank with the blues of the peacocks, and yellow of the electric mbuna.
In choice #2 I also agree an electric blue Acara would be an excellent replacement for the parrots.
I personally do "not" to house Central Americans with South Americans, because of the heightened aggressiveness of the Centrals compared to their South American cousins.
If you do try that combination, you should be ready to make adjustments, and may need to have a hospital tank at the ready for injuries, casualties or territorial disputes as they grow.
