Update on the 2 remaining male vultures, about 2ft. They use their wels catfish tank mate for cover and I caught them swimming side by side as if courting but could have been a dominance dispute, of course when I turned the camera on, they stopped.
I think the Peru piraiba bit up the vultures overnight. Should have moved the vultures to the 1800 gal instead of the 4500 gal or at least should have left pipes and nets, as I usually do, in the 4500 gal overnight or for a few days to give the newcomers an easier time to adjust to the new tank without or with less harassment because installing new things in a tank causes caution and light stress for the old inhabitants.
Long time no updates. The 2 last vulture males are still around. One has been well in the 1800g. The other developed some kind of spinal injury where the spine is S curved and it swims funny. It had done ok in the 1800g too for all this time except 3-4 months ago the dorado decided to eat it beginning with the tail, so the injured vulture went into the hospital 300g, where it is safe and feeds well too, despite being too big for this tank.
