I have a 7 to 8 inch Vulture that just sits in the corner all the time won't move during evening feedings either but is active in the early A.M when lights are off and eats then. Is this normal for a Vulture? Tank is a 400g with cichlids .

Any signs off bullying? Is is new or been around a while ? If new then give it time to adjust.

I don't know if yours is normal and mine is wierd or vice versa but my vulture is very active. I've only kept one so I'm not sure what active is, though I remember reading that they were one of the more outgoing cats.

My two vultures are very active except when I turn the lights on. They always go straight to their corner when the lights are on and they don’t move at all. But, usually, when the lights go off, they start roaming the tank again.

My two eat Massivore pellets. They are about 13-14” long and I feed a total of 20 pellets per feeding. I only feed them about every three days. They get to split 20 pellets and whatever might be left from the fire eels’ frozen stuff, which isn’t much, if anything.

How new is the catfish to your aquarium?

Mine is exactly the same. Sits in the corner.
He is about 3 weeks new. No bullying. I always thought they were always on the go that's why I asked. Has a big appetite in the early morning when lights are off .

Does it have any cover or area where it can get out of sight ?are the lights really bright ?

I agree with the guys. The newness and the less than welcoming crowd are quite likely the causes. At night the likely overbearing or even bullying cichlids can't see the cat so it enjoys the freedom.
