Had one years ago, got it up to about 20", never had a problem with it eating anything, there reputation is not deserved at all. get it Richard im sure you wont regret it

the only thing i was worried about was it takeing bites at pellets when the rays were trying to eat them

normally i dont mix teeth with rays

Think there dentition is overly exaggerated too, think its down to the old TFH atlas showing the pic of a large Brachyplatystoma getting hauled out the water with fish hanging off it, if i remember rightly Callophysus was mentioned, but Ceptopsis was more the likely candidate. They are a active fish mine was always up the side of tank swimming, come down for food but that was it.
