Phones came in yesterday...loving it. Im not an Apple fan in general nor a big Techy at all...so makes it all the better.

Me too. My 2 yr contract expires in July. I'm gonna hold out and see if the iPhone 5 makes it to the market

It only 'does' when it actually works and isn't laggy and buggy and something has to 'force close'. I've been an Android fanboy for the longest time, but the hardware is garbage. I just want something that works when I need it on a daily basis, without the need for hacking, rooting, overclocking, and ROMing, and doesn't need to be permanently plugged into an outlet.

I still fully support Android, but I'll be switching to iphone until somebody figures out how to make a phone that works, and has a decent camera and battery life.

I see where you are coming from and the garbage hardware is DEFINITELY a valid point.
I have to say, with my rooted, ROMmed, OC'd D2, I have gotten 20+ hours with regular use. I agree you shouldn't have to root to get a "better phone".
My camera is phenomenal too, with no extra apps.

Every droid is different, I am happy with mine - but when the big honcho at Apple tells people to hold the new iPhone a different way to resolve the radio issue upon release, that doesn't sit well with me at all.
