Haha.... I could come up with something. As for ID'ing them if they are wild or not, you just have to fallow who brings in what and from where. IE Asia, SA, Europe and so on. I always watch Rapps November stock list, that's when he gets his Kelberis. In 2011 it was rio doce's Kelberis. Last year was itapingas.

But, yeah. I'll work on something to help ID'ing bass if that would help.

I just found out that someone used my pic of my WC Araguaia without my permission to sell his "F1 Araguaia". I would like to say that by no means should u compare the 2. I have seen some semi adult pcs of the F1 both in my tank and frm photos of others. They do not look the same. I am suspecting that the F1 Araguaia might not be pure. I have no proof and an not saying that this info is true, I am just suspecting. Just to prove a point I will post 3 pics. My WC pc and the 2 F1 at 9"

Way to keep it real.
Keep the pics and oversea's info coming.
Hard to say whether or not the one shown isnt pure. As f1s the fish can take traits from both mother and father causing a huge difference in color and patterns. Not saying that you are wrong....just hard to say whether or not that its true w/out knowing all the info.
Keep the info and pics coming Nid. We need to try and keep all the bs outta the market. IMO there is too many lies and too much bs in the fish game....especially cichla....all to keep the prices at a premium for the selller. There is nothing wrong w/ captive bred fish...IMO that is good...we dont want/need to rape native waters to keep our home aquariums at a premium. Look at asian aros....they got overfished and became endangered. Now they are on the no buy list for us in the US. Which totally sucks and is a bunch of crap cause they are raised in farms. We dont want this to happen to our rare cichla. So lets keep it real and keep it tight bh(workaholics ref), and quit w/ the bs and lying. We have a couple vendors that stay true to that ref...and even more that dont. Nothing wrong w/ f1's etc....but tons wrong w/ the lying to make a buck.
