W/D or new FX5

I know I'm going to get a LOT of flak about this but here goes....LOL

Buying a pump and possibly a little media is a LOT more economical than setting up an FX5. Additionally I always recomend more than one filter system for safety and in the case of the FX5 that would mean even more expence.

Wet/dry filters can be a bit intimidating at first...sort of like driving a truck with a manual transmission but once you have it down it's not all that complicated.

I really hope Rally dosn't read this thread and catch me sending someone down the dark path...

depends on the quality of the pump :D eg march mag drive
 
OK you got me on that one...
One last thing as far as safety goes...Although its rare to break a return hose connection on a FX5...it IS possible and that beast will empty even the largest tank in a heartbeat...
 
I have a pro clear 300 on mine and it works great, the overflow is a tad noisy though, so predrilled would be even better
