w to set up a kiddie pool to fish pond step-by-step

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
hi friends,
first of all thank for all your kind words.:)

Then i have to tell you that my water isn't dirty and i don't have bad parameters either.
The colour in my water is from the woods i used to have in.
Have you ever try to put woods in your tank to see the colour?:naughty:
Also i believe that the filtration is so perfect that i could have bigger pond with all these materials.:nilly:

Now.....it's time to show you the heating system threw my boiler.
OK, it's not the perfect think to look at but is doing an incredible work.
Last week it was snowing here so the outside temp was below zero.
I'm heating that thing almost free now and very reliably!
Pics.....ask anything you want plz:

The heating system is controllable and work completely automatically:

As you can see hot water comes and passes threw the stainless steel bar.
That heats the pool excellent.
I think it's time to start BUILDING something bigger now.....:naughty:
:)

do you do anything for the evaporation? are you worried about mold building up around the room and rest of the house? i'm only asking because i'm planning on doing an indoor pond eventually in my garage.

I'm considering setting a kiddie pool in my garage for the summer while I find a larger tank. at what temp are you able to maintain your pool? What part of the country are you? What size heaters?

Evaporation is about 500liters/week on summer (30-35oC) and about 200liters/week on winter (0-10oC).
I only add water, and not from R/O (thats the next step).
I don't have any mold problems, the basement is very big and fresh air comes threw airways.
No worries, do it!:headbang2

You should do it to!!:D:headbang2
I can take the temp to 70oC if i want to!!:grinno:
But i keep it in 27oC..
I live in Athens, the capital of Greece.
Not heaters exactly, see pictures above...

The pool had birthday on 20 of April, 1 year till now...
And then what happened?
Scratched about 2 weeks ago!!!:ROFL::ROFL:
A fish did it for sure...i suspect RTC's fins...:naughty:
Anyway i keep the little leak safe with some insulating tape until i find something better to do...

I found something similar to that online at www.koiscapes.com but i am concerned about what i want to put in it puncturing the sides also wal mart has a pool for 199. What kind of fish do you have in yours? i am keeping gars.

John

very nice bought my pool today getting basement ready

If there is just one thing I would suggest to anyone going the intex pool route: get additional liners, it's an insurance policy must have.
