waht kind of barb?

im guessing something made it that way over a long period of time i dont think it was born like that. some fish are born with bent spines as a diformaty but that one has a deformed face and body too.

Very deformed tinfoil barb, if these two other look same to this fish, the chances that they are deformed too. Probably same ex-owner who kept them gave them to the LFS

That poor thing has had a tough life and now he's Jardini bait. At least he can still swim fast.

Where did you get that barb from? I know a place that has a few just like that one. That one is extremely deformed. I have seen them with the messed up mouth but not with the kinked spine too. What a shame.

I have the same deformed tinfoil barb & only recently learned what he is. He is an amzing fish & my favourite in my aquarium. his eyes are huge & mouth is concave, but other wise is very healthy. My husband was sold him by a fishsoter without being told what he was & only told he was a good fit for our set up & tank mates. his tail is slightly bend as well, though not as much as yours. ANyone shed some light on this particular deformity on these guys?
