WAITED 2 YEARS FOR THIS ... (PICS)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Damn for that much money I would be content with one of the cheaper ones. I mean I understand that they don't get nice Flowerhorn as easily over there but damn......

From that pic, it still does not do him justice... I can't wait to finish work and go see him live in the water... ill post vidz and pictures from my Canon camera... once i get him...

The BAD part is...

he will be in a 20 gallon... 2.5ft tank for next 2-3 months.... ALONE... hes only 10 cm... so for that time he should be fine right? I am waiting for someone, before I buy a 55gallon 4ft for him. But after 2-3 months.

All good?

That is a very nice FH! Probably the nicest in Australia! And I agree w/ the water changes chris stated for a 20g w/ good filtration, this will improve his growth and color. Also, idk if you have access to NLS in Australia but that would be great food for him! :)

I don't get it.... you'll blow a grand on a fish that is going to die within the next 3-5 years, bit have to wait 2-3 months to get an adequately sized tank for him?!?!?! :screwy:

the price on the 'show stopper' flowerhorns still dont compare to prices for asian aros or any of the other tank busters you lucky buggers in the rest of the world are able to keep... legally...

sent u a PM bro

There's breeders in AUS that wouldn't even come close to $300 USD if they want to sell something like that to you. Hmm - I don't know. Where have you been looking at your fish from? Quite expensive for what it is even though its illegal to import/export flowerhorn in general.

You make absolutley no sense... why would a 10cm fish need a 4ft tank? Does that make sense to you? At 15cm+ cm you can start thinking of a bigger tank due to the stunting of growth lol

You are paying $100 for good quality fish, where in Australia we are restricted from MAJORITY of the fish you are able to keep. Thus, to have a good fish here, you put down cash.

Can you honestly look at ONE of your fish, and say "hes one of the most unique or uncommon fish I have seen"

People go "GORGEOUS" over a silver arowana, where 80% of em look the damn same lol...and people throw out BIG money for them.

And yes it may die, just like any fish you put in a 10000 gallon tank may die lol... The point is not when it dies, the point is...maybe I can use him to change the FH chain in Australia?

Maybe I can breed him with some gorgeous parrots or a female kamfa? And help the chain expand in Australia?

I did not buy him for DISPLAY only..I purchased him, to help others in Australia, one day take a picture of their flowerhorns, without the rest of the world going "ahh average quality, its $12 up here in USA"

NationsMostWanted: And off course I would rather buy a big tank... I am moving out in a few months to a bigger place, so I dont have the space for one now... a BIG tank... will ALWAYS be available...quality fish will not be!... What you said makes perfect sense if I had the space bro

Big_One: My offer still stands, find me one breeder in Australia, with a A Grade flowerhorn... and not a Red Dragon. I have been looking for quality flowerhorns for 2 years... I have called 41 people over 3 months (yes i counted the different messages I have on my pohone)...

Good quality here, is "A RD with a big kok...big body... half body red colored...with a plain pearl" that fish is $400-500.. in USA... its $20-$50

If you guys had the chance to own a fish (You love), and say you have the first and only breed of that fish in your country...you would do it in a heartbeat... :)
