If I haven't said so already, your male is absolutely phenomenal. It makes me want to go get some A. Borelli to replace the apistos that I lost in my 60 cube, but I highly doubt the ones at my LFS would turn out as nice as yours.

Do you leave the fry in with the parents, or do you have to separate them at some point?

Thanks :) Hard to tell from the video but the females look good too - bright yellow with blue fin edges.

I took the fry out a few times shortly after they became free swimming, but eventually concluded that they were too small to live off decap BS eggs (and I'm too lazy to hatch bbs). Most of the fry I left with parents apparently didn't make it but a few dozen survived. I took them out later when some are already over 1". Didn't have to do a whole lot of work :D

He looks great Peter!! You had better be glad that I have hard water or there would have been a bidding war on that one. It would have been the first apisto pair I have ever seen go for over $100:). Me and my cursed limestone water.

What a stunner, I would do some Platies. They would look sweat in there and are not agressive.

That male is an absolute Brutus, largest borelli I've seen.

Thanks Japes. He's indeed enormous per Apisto standard, probably close to 4" TL.
