Wal-Mart fish guide

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
When I was at my Walmart there was a lady waiting on staff to help her bag up some fish for her daughter. I assumed she thought that a few (at least 10) dead fish was normal. (I could also tell that she did ALL of her shopping at Walmart, unlike me, where I may only go a maximum of ten times a year.) Once someone came by to help her and bagged up her fish, she demanded a discount on a fish (not sure which one, but none were above $10) after waiting for 20 minutes. I hope she does research after having an uncycled tank (she obviously knew nothing about aquariums other than fish eat, breath, swim, and poop.), and piles of dead fish. Lets pray that she at least upgrades to Pet Smart.

Walmart spreads misinformation just to make a sale. It is wrong. They do not care about the lives of the fish they are selling. All they care about is profit.

Oh my god. A few years ago your walmart bought our chain of ASDA stores here in the uk. I hope to god that they don't go down this route. At the moment the only fish related items in our ASDA are coldwater and tropical fish food flakes in the pet food section. Surely some of you guys can get together and do something about this, even if it will be against the biggest retail company on the planet! It's animal cruelty plain and simple and the only people seeing it are you hobbyists who know better than the average joe who shops there. Advice off a lawyer would be a starting point to determine whether it's worth pursuing. Your voices must be heard, otherwise it will continue.
