wow, where to start. I'm going to try to not be as condescending as you, but it might be tough.

First instead of spending a lot of time worrying about every penny I spend and every penny I can't save, I'm going to put that effort into my career so when I am your age the thought of shopping at a Walmart to save some money is laughable. truly laughable.

In my world, life is all about making choices and having ideals. So goodluck living in your world but in mine I will stick to my decision to support local businesses and be proud of it. yea, this world is not perfect and I am only one person, but this one person is going to use his brain and his instincts to make decisions and be happy I did.

thank you for your post as it has truly inspired me and amazed me.

What is truly laughable is the same sort of Ideals I had as a kid...come back in 25 or so years and then tell me if you still feel the same way...Life has it's way of humbling such stellar ideals...and so does the Corporate dollar...It is already in motion, you're about 40 years or so too late. Hang on little buddy, hang on!!

Life doesn't have to steal your ideals. what happens if you work hard, use your brain, and have actually accumulated some real wealth by the time you are 50?

I know plenty of 50+ guys who still have the same ideals and morals they had when they were kids. They took control of their own lives and made something of themselves. They are not "rich" people, but they are also not shopping at walmart to save money.

Then I know guys like my uncle, that have eeked out a living and have the same cynical viewpoint that you have.

You have let your life turn you into a very narrow minded person, why don't you look back to how you were 20-30 years ago and think about how that man would look at what he has turned into. A bitter cynical old man selling scrubbies on the internet.

I'm done responding in this thread, I just stated that I refuse to shop at Walmart because of what they have done to local business and you decided to come after me. and I refuse to turn into a man like yourself

I shop at walmart. If i can shop there after working for that hell hole then there is no reason for some of u
guys not too. look the place sucks but if i can go there at 3 am because im having a fish emergencey at buy what i need i will. plus i save a s*** load on grocerys. so yeah walmart sucks but the amount of money saved.....
Sam did not mean for this corp to be the way it is. since he has passed away the company has changed. ask anyone who has worked for walmart when he was alive.

I really don't think my first post was that bad. I was not attacking anyone and was just stating my opinion.

Just because you used to work at Walmart and still decide to shop there is your own choice. It is just not a choice I would make. And in my opinion it is the reason that Walmart is able to continue the way it iis.

Walmart started out as a fine business, but I don't like what walmart has become and what it stands for so I will not shop there, I don't care how much money I will save by shopping there.

This is getting out of control. I understand what wal mart does to the local business but these days everyone wants to save money and wal mart helps you do so. Ive never worked for wal mart so I dont know how bad that is. Imo wal mart is a great place to shop. Its a business thats in it for the money which is what most business's are in it for.

and i hate the company because of how they screwd me over. Heck they get sued so much i still get paper work asking to help out these law suits by submitting how they screwd me over(cancel breaks, make u work off the clock, make u burn overtime that they made u get. so many things....
