Who told you this? I didn't. Miles didn't.

I know I told you its cuz no one at corporate knows anything about anything.

I think we need someone like boss man at corporate and it would get better :D

Anyway, there are lots of places that sell fish that shouldn't like the Ben Franklin arts and crafts store in my town that sells not only bettas, but cories, balas, larger:eek::eek: catfish and many others that it shouldn't. Even if walmart stops others will start. . . just my opinion.

An arts and crafts store!!:WHOA::eek::popcorn:

Yeah, theres nothing we can do about walmart. Where else will I get my five finger discount drinks? :(

I think if you really wanted to save the poor fishies you should just shop lift them all out of the store. It's do-able.

Ya a crazy crazy arts and crafts store, next to the quilting section. Kinda sad cuz half of their fish are labeled wrong and go to stupid college students to live in dorm room betta tanks.

Try to be more right....:grinno:

Walmart will stop selling fish within the next couple years...Nationwide...

wal-mart embodies everything thats wrong with corporations today. they outsource all possible labor, they have closed stores to avoid unionizing by the employees, they have been caught placing made in the U.S.A. stickers on foreign made products, they force employees to work after clocking out, they keep work schedules to 30 hours a week or less to avoid having to pay benefits, they even charge to use the baby changing stations in the mens bathrooms. I try to avoid wal-mart and the other bigname corporate retail outlets. petco and petsmart have not been to much better from what ive seen

as far as walmart goes i toally agree but i'd to at least stand up for my petsmart, i know we're k=not great and we dont know everything and we do stuff wrong but who doesnt... i think we're purty good with fish.... tifftastic and miles know they're stuff

Don't forget the Luke!

Pretty much I am against anything corporate, and the glove that they try to make everyone fit into. I won't buy fish from any other petsmart except the one I work at cuz I know the fish are well cared for. Any other fish that we dont carry and I want I go somewhere that is locally owned . . . as for walmart carrying fish its really bad.
They seem to think that fish don't really matter in the grand scheme of things. Eventually they will stop carrying fish. They had a lot of protesting for having the magazine cosmopolitan at their registers and now (at most locations) they have that black plastic slab infront of it as if it were a playboy or something else like that. So who knows maybe it will work.
