Don't forget the Luke!

Pretty much I am against anything corporate, and the glove that they try to make everyone fit into. I won't buy fish from any other petsmart except the one I work at cuz I know the fish are well cared for. Any other fish that we dont carry and I want I go somewhere that is locally owned . . . as for walmart carrying fish its really bad.
They seem to think that fish don't really matter in the grand scheme of things. Eventually they will stop carrying fish. They had a lot of protesting for having the magazine cosmopolitan at their registers and now (at most locations) they have that black plastic slab infront of it as if it were a playboy or something else like that. So who knows maybe it will work.
i didnt mention luke cuz i dont know his tag... and he doesnt use MFK

and i totally agree lol.... and i feel bad for walmarts puffers... they are always so sickly and dying cuz they need to be in brackish water

I bought a puffer from walmart and he actually did really well until my Exboyfriend killed it with goldfish.

I still think some crazy fish fanatic should go shop lift all the fish from every walmart. That would be amazing.

But hey, our petsmart is awsome. We do great with all our animals... Well most of them that is.

Who believes we should protest against Wal-Mart for housing and abusing fish? They shouldn't be able to carry live fish in their store. The fish aren't properly taken care of, they always have ick or some other disease, the water is dirty, there are always dead fish in the tanks that they don't bother to remove. I don't know how many times I have gone into a Wal-Mart and replaced the water in the Betta cups myself because the water was so dirty that the fish was on deaths door step. The fish always look emaciated and I've seen some with deformities. No employee that works there knows how to take care of these fish, they aren't trained for it. I really believe this is animal cruelty at it's finest. Some people don't care about our aquatic friends and say they aren't animals and they are worthless, but I disagree. I love my fish that i have at home and they are taken care of well beyond what is probably needed, but I hate to see fish suffering in such conditions. No animal should have to go through begging for food and not being fed, swimming in their own waste, riddled with disease left untreated and die, and so on and so on. If you feel that we should start a protest against Wal-Mart please let me know. Feel free to speak your mind on this subject. I am desperate to get tropical fish out of Wal-Mart stores. Who thinks so too?

:swear: I totally agree with you! The local store where I live houses 12 Pacu in a 10 gal tank, not to mention Houses Violet Gobys in completely fresh water and they all just suffer and die. The only way to go about this is to get animal protection involved so they can survey stores and have valid evidence of the fish cruelty before you even go to corporate. With a corporate giant like this you will never get your point across with just one person against a corporate giant. Trust me I'm majoring in global business enterprise.:clapI applaud you and will back you 100% on this issue. pm me if you want to try to get a petition together and I'm sure MFK's will be more than glad to sign it along with me!

not water dragons or greek tortoises but i dont the tortoises are our fault....

Oh btw squared man, I have not heard back from NW Seed on those tanks yet, and I'v been working so I have not had the chance to go talk to them. As soon as I find out I'll let you know.

I have to agree that the aquatics dept does a pretty fair job on the upkeep.

I think I am going to see if I can get a job at NW Seed (in the aquatics) and quit my piece of s*** job waiting tables.
