I love these little SD's. I have a few myself. It looks like you missed one at the store. I see another one at the top of that group shot. Not as many spots but there are a few on it.

Spot on. And yes they max out at about 5"s. And they do color up very beautifully once adults....and even nicer during mating season. These guys are now being mass produced and are found in many petsmarts and many other LFS....the cb are much duller in color compared to wild caught ones.

I would love to see a picture of the actual sp. mola in your tank. I've had a couple myself in the past...very beautiful SD indeed.

i thought the big thin bar silver dollars i had were great with armatus. Until about a week ago he has mowed down my pack! I only have one left and he is getting shanked all the time and only has one eye!

So if these are more than dithers, they wont last....lol

Mine have been together for awhile too.
He occasionally would gash one, but recently he got mad and thrashed them all. They were 6-7" range

What is weird is that before he would leave a deep gash every now and again but now that he is larger he leaves lots of little holes. Like he is just bumping them, a whole lot

@ Keepin, do you feed your Armatus everyday or skip days. Just wondering cause I notice with my smaller Armatus if I skip a couple days it is guaranteed to I will see slashes on eachother.

Every SD I've gotten out of petsmart has been spotted w red and black fins. It seems like there are so many sd variants idk how one could keep track of them all. Which is the rarest? And which is the most common?
