it will stay in the 55g for another 2-3weeks at least

I would say that in that size a tank that you should do water changes every other day of 23-30%. Just try to keep it clean and plenty of food,

I simply think it's from lack of space. My tiny retics never climb the walls.. They have 6x2' of open tank space though.

Be Careful.. the ray can bob up and down and damage the end of his tail.

not sure about that. I have a 4-5inch henlei in a 210 (7x2x2). and he is all over. there is not 20 min go by with out him on the glass
