Technically he is doing the research. He is asking people on a catfish forum. It's not like he bought it first then did the research.

No he is asking us what to do not researching himself. I agree it is waaaay better then buying first and asking ques later. Technically it would of been quicker and easier to just search for wallago even on here if he wants. There are probably 10 threads saying they get massive.

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but if people don't ask questions then what good is this forum? I didn't know anything about attu's, now after reading his question and the answers I know that they get large, and I am interested enough to keep doing research. He is not the only person who benefited from the question that he asked.

its too big but at least u didnt buy it yet like some people like a kid i saw buy a rtc and only had a 30 gallon tank i tried telling him u cant keep that in a 30 gallon tank its gunna need more like a 2000 gallon pond to live comfortably he still bought it tho and i was so pi**ed

2000 gallon pond is alittle excessive for the average person... but at least you had the right idea that it needed more than that 30g... double it... then times it by at least 10... then your in the area of a semi "life" home depending on the person and how big they are trying to make it

Yeah i agree really i had just had an annoying day at work (long story) dealing with ppl who wanted me to stand around for hours explaining things they can quite easily find out themselves and then basically ignored everything i said, and i took it out on the thread starter. I totally agree the forum is here to ask questions and get answers. It just makes the research i ment for him to do and that you say your going to do now alot easier if there isnt hundreds of threads to go through all asking the exact same question. Admittedly there isnt many on any Wallago species but try searching for something specific on RTC and see how many threads there are asking how big they get or something similar.

Meh, what's the point of the forum then. There may be a few threads of saying they get big but alot of people are lazy and instead of searching would go ask a forum designed for finding catfish information out.

It's a shame these fish get so big or else I would try to get one.
