Now can i have some hints and tips?
He(?) is currently 15-16 in and is eating white bait/prawns or mussels every other day.:)
 
i was just looking up pics, looks like a wallago to me, hopefully you will have a tank that can keep a 6 foot fish???
 
It looks a bit like a wels, but it´s none. You can see that it has only two mandibular barbles instead of four. The shape of the head and body is also somewhat different. The wels has a somewhat shorter but broader head and is horizintally lesser comressed.
 
I don´t know how wallogos are in aquarium, but I suppose there is not much difference to wels. Wels like it to have place where they can hide, for example under roots or in a big plastic tube or so. You should also probably avoid too much light.

He's referring to the pattern of the sand, and the angle the last pic was taken from (and the clarity), makes it look like it's out in the open
