Perch, walleye, and sauger is very close species but they are totally different, fish wise. Well for an aquarium atleast.
I also suggest getting a sauger too since they are smaller. Juvinille perch looks funny IMO, they have a huge head and a short body. They don't look much like them perch we catch at the lakes.
Lol in the freezer. Anyway adult perch get some decent coloration at maturity and can get fairly large in size. Think I may pass on the ol' Marble eyes.lol Seems they are better suited for a aquaria pond or living tank in the basement due to their shyness and I dont really have tha ability to replicate the cool water conditions.
