ok well i was in wallmart picking up a cooler for this party were having. and my girlfriend calls me over to where she is. i look at the neat rows of tanks they have lined against the wall and start looking at the type of fish in the tanks. first tank that caught my eye were the red belly pacu who were eating a dead clown loach that was really really pale(maybe the lighting) i read there price 6.49 for 5 inchs the tag said the only grow to 10 inches and need a 55g tank. which i was angered by. i continue moving down and see some monos the tag for them says the only live in fresh water and need a ten gallon correct me if im mistaken but i thought they were brackish.thats pretty much all i noticed except there lack of personnel there but oh well.

Brackish and need bigger than a 10g

yeah.

ever since I left my job at a local petstore, the new employees couldn't even tell a sunfish from a green terror. they ended up charging me $8 for a freaking sunfish that they got from the feeder tanks.

bastards.

You see that all the time and its not just walmart. pacus plecos and oscars sold to ppl with 10g tanks brackish and saltwater fish sold as freshwater just cause theyll live long enough for you to lose the reciept.and lets not even get into the dyed fish. Its a rare thing to find a really good fishstore.

Yeah, wallmart is a really bad place for fish, so are a lot of other stores like that.

i have noticed that before.

and also thats a good price for the pacu. size/price

Red belly pacus in a 55 gal=55 gal of water on the floor in about 6-9 months.

Walmart fish are far superior to other stores. Where else can you get a "glitter" oscar?

whenever I am dragged along their, I have go to the pet section, and warn people. once, an employee was telling a custumer that they could buy one of their octogon 1 gallon tanks, and put 7 neons, and 3 blackskirts and through them all together without problem. sorry to say, i could not stop them. That stubborn b!ch said "Who the hell cares if the fish are uncomfertable. they are FISH. Just a decoration that looks nice.":swear: I was about to hit her. On a very busy day, the dragon gobies were attacting alot of attention. I was getting tired of telling them not to get them, so I neal down and rip off the dragon goby tag. It was only a temporary save, but it worked. I was almost caught. An employee came up and said "is there a problem?" And out of nowhere, I say I am far/near sighted(wichever one worked), And was trying to see the "cool eel fish". It worked:ROFL: . I think I will bring a pen in, and change the 10" max grouth on the pacu, to 48"
