wallmart rant

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Everytime I am at Walmart I find myself going over to look at the fish, and every single time I'm there, there are several people buying fish. I personally have bought all my fish from Walmart and all have survived, thats only because I bought my fish on Tuesdays when their truck comes in. There is one of the fish guys I am pretty good friends with and he lets me know when their shipments come in. It's good to have connections.:clap

Ok i worked for Walmart but i was a bike assembler so my department was right next to the fish. I made it my goal to make sure that every person who dared buy a fish from us knew all the facts. I never bought a fish from there because i knew better. 'F' Walmart. Now i work for Petsmart and yes i know my fish facts. The tags are normally correct. Every fish has a tag with a common name, (whether it be common or not i.e. "dinosaur eel" or "Male Ahli Cichlid") but just below the common name is the scientic name. Also most of the larger fish are given huge max sizes so that customers understand that they get huge. Pacu is labeled at 24", a decent size and with that number it scares most out of buying it.

2 Points here:
First, People who work with fish, or any other pet should not only like the hobby but also have experience in it.
Second, Whether its called a dinosaur eel or senegal bichir, its still Polyterus Senegalus
