i was wondering if the 55 gallon setup at walmart is any good? anyone had any problems please lemme know ASAP. thanks

It's better if you just get the tank piece by piece. You'll be happier knowing that you got a good filter, heater, lighting, etc. And it'll be cheaper in the long run.

Unless you want to just use the filter that comes with it as a backup incase one goes out. Are there any pet stores or LFS's around you? Sometimes they'll have packages that include better filters like Emperors. Might be a little more, but it'll be worth it. Another idea is to check out ebay and craigslist, unless you're wanting something new.

The tank and stands are alright. I have a walmart stand and 55 that have given me no problems at all. If I was doing it over I would make my own stand, but there isnt anything wrong with the tanks.

I have 2 of the 55 gallon walmart tanks. The filters I ran on the tanks and they lasted about 2 years. Not very powerful though. I have not had a problem with the tanks at all. The heaters also aren't very good but the tank and stand are alright.

I think their tanks are adequate, unless you're an expert in the hobby
