The last two fish at one of my local walmarts.

I’m not gonna lie, I was tempted to buy the parrot as he would have symbolized the end of walmart selling fish. Don’t have the space and my qt tank is maxed out so that put an end to that idea quickly haha.

Hmmmm.... my Wal-Marts by me stopped selling in the past couple months. I should make some calls.....

There are 5 Walmarts within 15 miles of me. My wife came home one day to tell me the newest one was selling fish. Johannis and Golden Mbunas! I had never seen fish at a Walmart. fish food, fish supplies, even small tanks. Never a fish!

So our new Walmart has that same rack system. I need to go cruise by there in the truck . . .

I still have a few super centers near me that sell fish and I always find myself trying to educate the customer and the employee.

My wife hates it, lol but.....
lol mine too as well as the lfs….they call me the know it all lol I actually heard them say it. when I was checking out I said i'm not a know it all, its just that I know more than they do hahahahahaha

I guess that's good news. They really don't take care of their fish the way they should thats for sure. My local Walmart actually just redid their fish section not even 2-3 yrs ago. They gutted the area and put in racks of probably about 30 tanks total, decent size ones too, prob 10g each which is big for Walmart racks. When they first redid it they had some pretty decent fish like Y.labs and OB peacocks, pattots, oscars and some pretty nice catfish like muti's and clown loaches. I had never bought fish from Walmart ever, but right after they redid it I grabbed a pair of clown loaches for $6.99ea.

One of then died about 3 weeks later, but the other has turned into a real nice looking clown. Had him about 2 years now and he's about 5" and as active and plump as can be with nice markings.

The "niceness" of their redid fish section at my local store lastes all of about 2-3 months. Now they no longer have much at all in the tanks other than angles and very common tropic fish. There's usually dead fish in every tank, and the water is always dirty and nasty looking.

Here's my loach that I got..
