walmarts return policy is 90 days for live fish.

Gas is almost 3 dollars a gallon. So they know most people are not tracking back across town for a 3 dollar dead fish that they do not want to carry anyway.
Well. . .you can survive without Walmart, ask us South Africans. . .although, the hype is all about Walmart, as Walmart is coming to SOuth Africa! Hip Hip Hooray!!!! We just got our second HOOTERS too!!! We are moving on up! YES PLEASE!!!!

I worked at walmart for about 6 months in college and I can tell you for sure that unless you sneak in and return the fish to the tank then they kill them in case they have problems. So return at the fish's risk I guess.
Well my Wal-Mart didn't answer the phone at this lovely hour of 10:43PM.. I wanted to know what the lovely Wal-Mart associate would say about their fish return policy.. Anyway, I've actually cut out going there a lot, without really trying.. it's just that so many of the stores have become trashy and really it's not enjoyable to shop there anymore..
Sorry to be a party pooper, but i dont think this would work, they are not that stupid, they will obviously only give you credit for as much as you spent on the original fish. Common sense?
