i have tamed a black throat monitor,i have been bittin by him once when he was about 18",now he's about 30" and you can do what you like with him,as for amazon tree boa's,there just is no tameing those,we have a 4' and a 7' at my work,they strike the glass at anything outside there tank but once there out there not to bad,other then a few random strikes that are usually half ass,i was pretty close to loosing an eye from the 7'er though,maby like 1" away from loosing it:headbang2

I don't think anyone wants you to get rid of it. I think the frustration is coming from the fact that it doesn't look like much research and genuine thought went into the purchase of such a demanding animal.

No one wants to see an animal in poor conditions. We are all animal lovers here, so you are going to get some extreme reactions either way. I truly do hope this works out for you...a Nile is a truly impressive animal. This is a situation where either the Nile, or even you, could be seriously injured if not cared for properly.
