want a ray!

ive just got a new 260 withe dimensions of 84x30x24 and would really like to keep a ray could any species fit in this tank?? it will have a 40 gallon sump and possibly a large external for filtration.

You could keep a male of just about any ray except tigers

I used to keep my breeder males in that size tank when they were in time out

Males of any species tend to be much smaller than females. Most males top out in the teens even if females get to 24+. There is a huge difference between a 24 inch ray and a 16 inch ray. The 24 inch could be three times the mass as the 16 or more and needs a much larger tank.

Yes just about any. Just get 2 fems and 1 Mel and try to make sure the Mel is smaller then the fems. But to start if I were u I would get histrix, or retics, maybe matoro. But for the cost I wouldn't jump into Leo, henli, or pearls
