I mean I've read so many DIY ones that I think I got it down packed now, but just to have that comfort that someone with you has done it successfully would be very nice.

Wow, this sounds great! Where are you located and what do you think the price would be for around 250 gal
im in columbus, OH. it kinda depends on if you just want a glass front or glass on the sides too. the taller you go for an aquarium the more expensive the glass will be. but id guess around 250 for just the tank. the epoxy is the most expensive. roughly 100 w/ shipping. so the bigger you go, the more for your money. i can get 1/4" glass for $3 a square foot and 3/8" for $6. so a tank thats 96"x26"x26" would be exactly 250g. you'd go with 3/8" glass for that.
I would want just want glass on the front. Im from dayton so i could definately come pick it up.

thanks...im trying to come up with different designs you dont see to often. or at least you dont want to pay for em! all your really doing is paying for labor with most of these tanks. i build the stand, canopy and filter on my own. much cheaper!
