Want new fish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
He originally only got one response which said don't chance it. Where were you guys when he ask?

Go S. Vettel #1 rb8

It was also stated that very few people have had that combination work. Why would he ask the question, get an answer that advises against it, and still does it? Lol

Things like this happen daily in the gar forum. People ask about combinations that are advised against. e.g. Silver arowanas and gars, or aggressive cichlids and gars, silver fish and gars, etc. the list can go on and on. Instead of listening to what the majority or the gar forum regulars advise they try the combo.

A real test ofhow well this combo is working out would be to post updates after a significant amount of time. Most of these ill advised combos are only a couple months at best.

Kinda curious as to which species of gar and wolffish this is being done with and their current sizes. Both groups of fish have members of the family that can difffer greatly in aggression and size, factors that can contribute to long term compatibility. I'd guess that it is a florida gar and a common wolf both under 12" in length. Young fish for both species and something where the individual temperments of the fish can still change as they continue to grow.

There's a picture around here somewhere of a wolf fish with a gar 2x its body length in its mouth. Good luck.

Well i asked and only got 1 reply so i tried it. Its been going good so far and I will update for everybody who thinks they know everything

Those tankmates are a dead gar waiting to happen.

+1

I have to agree. If OP wants the best for his Gar he should remove him from those tank mates. Who knows, he may survive just fine. But I will never put my gar with anything but other gar :)
