or a 55G, slightly brackish, about 2/3 full, with emergent root masses or driftwood, etc. Stock with Indian mudskippers (6-7), maybe a nigerian sleeper or 2, or a pair of orange chromides or a pair of freshwater damsels, a purple spaghetti eel, 2-3 vampire shrimp, and 3-4 red claw crabs.

and a Figure 8 puffer, they have great personality, instead of sleeper gobies get a Knight goby and get a ropefish as well.

Rams are very nice looking fish, how about a couple of those, maybe a small royal pleco. Or the ram/corries like guppy said.

The knight gobies would be better in that mix than the sleeper, even though the nigerian sleeper stays at about 5".

keep the 55 and get a few fish from toyin at rehobothaquatics.com

get a momyrid of some sort, i luv um, u will too, get like a sengal bichir, an african b-fly, and 2 of ur favorite species of ctenopoma (i think i might have spelled that wrong. whole deal shudnt cost more that $50 plus shipping

thtas wut i tell everybody, but i dont have that set up myself, but ive owned all those fish and they kick ass. plus its a biotope, and if u set it up rightm it could end up lookin like a public aquarium display.

u wont get bored with that, and ull probably get hooked on bichirs and want more :)

All we can get for mormids are over priced elephant noses. tried them 3 times, all ended badly. I have a sengal right now, ive kept african butterflies (but I like the idea), my fav cetenopama is leopard, but the lfs can't get them.

I was already thinking of dwarf puffers for the 10. i will not do brackish. did mudskippers, i always screw up brackish water. i tried dragon gobies, they were sucessfully converted to fresh, but one is in a frezzer because is grew fw ulcers.

What is the probable largest tank you will keep, and the most you will spend per fish?

well, i can't get anything biger. Either my 45, or 55, i am thinking of having to sell the 55. As far as fish price, about $15 to 20, absolute max, and that is on rare ocassions. The only thing i will make an eception for on price, is an electric catfish

I'll think about it, parameters:
45G, standard temp and pH, max cost per fish $15. Not brackish.
Mixed origin okay?
