Want to add more fish. Suggestions

I’m confused what this thread is about. What is a super jack monkey pacu?? Am I missing something

The "super red monkey pacu" simply does not exist. Unfortunately the idiot who started this thread does!!!

He only joined the forum last Saturday, and his last post was Monday morning. In those couple of days, if you check his activity out, you will discover that he is possibly the rudest person we have ever had on here, in my time anyway.

Mods need to step up and push the vaporise button on this idiot.

My take on the situation is that the original poster probably doesn't speak English as his first language. Secondly, I believe that he is from a country that appreciates a well stocked tank.
He started two threads with the same name, and was promptly attacked both times. I totally understand why he would be edgy in his other replies.
If the OP is Asian, it would make complete sense. In many of the Asian countries people treat each other with a high deal of respect. Western cultures are incredibly rude by comparison.

When I joined MFK (many years ago), the Stocking Police were already in full force. Today they are still going strong. A very beautiful and heavily stocked tank was frequently referred to as the worst case of over stocking, however a few of us recognized the merit in the tank. The owner was very successful in maintaining the health of the fish, and he was very knowledgeable about the equipment running the tank. At the time, tank owner was known as Too Spicy Noodle. (Raise your hand if you recognize the name.) Today he goes by a different name, but it is my understanding that he still frequents MFK.

if the OP was treated differently, I think he would have reacted differently too. If he is an experienced aquarist like Too Spicy Noodle, then he may be able to teach MFK a great deal.
...or maybe he's just a snot nosed brat.

Though I do agree that the vocal minority of fishkeepers that heavily criticize overstocked tanks (sometimes to the point of denigration) can often be rather unjust, I don't think that applies in this case. OP posted an almost laughably ridiculous question and got a unanimous answer (that really should've been apparent to anyone with sufficient experience to keep half those fish on the list) delivered both respectfully and somewhat rudely (moreso the latter than the former, in all fairness); instead of treating the responses seriously, he immediately went to criticizing some of the users as if he was superior in some way. Then he barges into random threads and continues insulting experienced members, calling people "invalids" and "12-14 year olds" and so on and so forth. Also appears to have an incredibly overinflated ego; he keeps believing that others are jealous of him and tells others to "quit bragging". The advice he gives is also often false or poorly-advised, and sometimes even goes to the point of pointing out nonexistent issues for the sake of showing off his "intelligence". Even went as far as to call MFK "his" forum.
The user in question is likely from the U.S.; the majority of fish on his "stock list" (that I suspect is complete fiction due to the sheer chaos it would be) are going to be quite difficult to find (would also fetch a hefty price) in other parts of the world. It's also heavily implied has access to PetSmart, a North American chain store. Additionally, the typical grammar structure of people who don't speak English as much often follow similar rules to most rudimentary digital translators, and don't often use figurative language or slang (depends on how familiar they are with the language, though) due to the possible confusion it may add. This doesn't seem to be the case with OP, as he displays sufficient knowledge of the English language through the way he types; rather, it seems as though he just simply chooses to disregard grammatical rules (or doesn't care to use them), likely for the sake of convenience. Though this is hardly empirical evidence, his listed name, "Daniel Rakestraw", also doesn't seem much like a name from someplace far outside the U.S.
Think I'll have to agree with you on the "snot nosed brat" assessment.
Also, though this is hardly a good place to dispute the matter, I looked around on the web to find out who "Too Spicy Noodle" was, and unfortunately I think I'd have to agree with the many people claiming that his tank(s) was overstocked. Even though the fish in there look pretty healthy and well-fed, the sheer number of them (leading to a very small amount of space available per fish) really would decrease the quality of life for each individual fish by a lot, and at that point they'd just be living, not thriving. People really did seem to unfairly bash him pretty hard from what I could see, though. Would've been interesting to hear what he thought about the concept of overstocking; little does one ever get the chance to hear the perspective of experienced overstockers.

In the very short time he's been here I've seen enough of Mr Rakeshaw to quite justifiably call him out as completely socially inept. He shouldn't go anywhere near any forum of any description.

His interactions on this forum thus far have been extremely rude, his girlfriend ditched him and even his own father told him he was disappointed in him. The clues are all there.

Anyway, he hasn't been seen since Monday so maybe he's gone annoying somebody else and will leave us alone.

As far as "too spicy noodle" is concerned. I do think that they are from the far East, the clue's in the name. Actually I'm pretty sure there are a couple of pictures deep in the MFK archive of him with his tanks. I do believe very heavily stocked tanks are the norm for some over there.

It may stem from the fish markets where they have many tanks ram jammed full of live stock, so it's extra fresh for the would be buyer. Of course in that scenario the fish aren't in the tank for that long because people are buying them, so no issue really.

But when you bring that practice over to the hobby side then it doesn't matter how many water changes you do or whether you feed top quality food, the glaringly obvious fact remains that there is no room for the fish to swim! I'd have thought, over anything else, that would be one of the top priorities when stocking a tank!

Undoubtedly "too spicy noodle" did a stellar job in keeping their tank looking clean, and I must admit there was something alluring about the solid wall of squirming slithering glimmer of scales, lol.

Yep, I now agree with you and my last assessment. I just spent the last three hours reading ten pages of a total train wreck. I think they are same person. I would now like to amend my last assessment to "snot nosed geezer".

Can anyone tell me how to get the last three hours of my life back?

Wow ok this is a lot to unpack. JMP really don’t do well in glass aquariums as they bite hard, it seems you’re aware of that though.
That being said you are remarkably uneducated and possibly daft. I hope you don’t have kids in the house with the JMP. Don’t add anything And get rid of that fish as soon as possible. You are a sick man.
You alright dude?

I remember Mr.Mac'n'Cheese or whatever his moniker was; I agree with Esox's assessment of the guy. He simply didn't seem to care much for the quality of life his fish experienced in those fantastically crowded aquariums...but he was obviously right on top of his game, or else he hired people who were, to be able to keep those aquariums livable and the fish as physically healthy as they were, albeit probably not "happy".

Contrast this to the snot-nosed brat...er, sorry, the distinguished new member under discussion here...who is asking the kind of questions that indicate he hasn't a clue. Anyone who has the skill, knowledge and experience to maintain the kind of tank he describes...certainly doesn't require or bother soliciting the suggestions of a bunch of complete strangers on the internet for which pretty fish he should buy next.

I'm not sure I agree with Fallen_Leaves16 Fallen_Leaves16 ' assessment regarding the new guy's familiarity with English; he might or might not be using it as a second language, or even a third, but really...I don't care enough to analyze it. He clearly doesn't seem to understand the definition of the words "jealous" or "bragging", but, again, just not worth my time to worry about it.

I think you guys are reading too much into this, it was just some dude or dudes making mischief about a fictional 9 foot silicon eating fish.
I still think they might be the same person or at least connected due to the fact they use a lot of the same phrases such as "unpack" in their posts. Its not a common phrase but it is being used a lot by this/these guys.
I wouldnt worry too much, he seems to have moved on, just another goofball passing through.
