Jeff,

My condolences go out to you man...... You are doing one of THE most stand up things I've ever heard of. I have nothing but respect for you.

If you have ANY questions whatsoever we are all here to help. I have a decent sized indoor pond myself (around 1K gallons) with rays in it. Mine is made from landscaping brick since I rent my house, I have to be able to move it, and with all the flakey friends I have I can really only count on myself, so I can move my entire pond with only the help of me, myself, and I. I built my own filter from a rubbermaid ag tub. IF you need any advice whatsoever just say so.... I'd be glad to walk you through how I built mine.... There are a few things I'd change but for the most part I am VERY happy with it, and it was able to keep my pond clean with 13 rays in it..... If pics would help just say the word.

Good luck man...... I applaud you.

:screwy:13 rays and i STILL dont have one.:( lmaoooo his landscaping pond is top notch. even made my wife appreciate a pond, and she hates fish AND ponds.

plus the bricks insulate it for you so you dont have to buy lumber AND insulation.

I just bought a 11X15 pond liner this afternoon at the LFS. It just so happened to be 20% off even because of the annual customer appreciation day sale.

What other kinds of fish can i keep in it? I really like stingrays and arrowanas. Maybe some huge SA cichlids.

your a good friend.

If you decide to put anything else in the pond with those two cats you better get soemthing big and/or fast. I think that TSN will eat anything that fits in its mouth.

Maybe some live bearers? just so there is a food source?

Anyways, I wish you luck mate, you are doing a good deed.

anything you put in with big cats is likely to be eaten. if you aren't bothered by losing fish i would say become an oscar retirement home. you can get 12"+ oscars for free all day long. just put your name and number in with your local fish store and when people try to bring in xl oscars and jags and other aggro fish they dont want they can just give them your number. this way they are already grown and have a half ass chance to not get eaten. plus they were free so if they do get eaten you wont be out anything.

here are pics of the filter still need to drill the bypass holes in the top just for saftey
