Did you look at halfbeaks? They're pretty cool.

Halfbeaks and bumblebees? Isn't that a bit risky? Don't they regularly consume guppies, which are sometimes even larger than BBs? If I'm wrong feel free to correct me. I'm just going on what little I have read.

understood. what about killifish?

I honestly have never heard much about killifish. A quick search yielded almost no useful information, although some sites seem to have suggested marine conditions, so killifish might be a problem, but I think it would depend upon which species you got. They're a beautiful group of fish and there seem to be several species.

BBGs hang out on the bottom/middle & HB on top.

I believe killies are FW fish.. Never heard of them near SW.

It might still be a little dangerous. Two of my bumblebee gobies were just at the very top of the tank. Add a halfbeak to that situation and you might just have expensive halfbeak food.

I wouldn't go on that alone. Even if the bumblebees can hold their own against puffers, violets might not. Violet gobies are defenseless if a puffer wants to tear their fins to shreads.

violet gobies look intimidating its weird that theyre so peaceful. im gonna paint the back of my tank blue get it cycled again just in case make sure everythings ready and hit up my lfs. i think im gonna go with bumblebees and figure 8s for now and maybe a few knights until i do some more research and see what other fish are compatible with them.
thanks guys for all the help and if you have any other fish you would like to tell me about please do so :grinyes:
