Sure it would....4ft tall..turn it sideways....the door would only need to be 4'+ wide and 5'+tall...still plausible..

is that a joke? 4'?

average doors for apartments and houseing are around 30-36"- room to room. not 48"+

Have any of you seen a house get demoed? The tank wouldn't fall straight down... also the glass would break as it hit the 3rd floor with unequal pressure... the water rushed into the buildings sump and washed away all the glass but didn't disrupt the other debris? I think it would have been at least saturated... I can understand a falling man and his death grip on a penny, but I don't think it would have remained after impact...

Then as mentioned there is the issue of fitting a 1,000 gal turtle tank from a zoo into an apartment door... standard exterrior doors (including apartment doors) are 36" left to right...

Lastly... well before the tank fell through the floor there would be minor failures... you would hear boards creeking... nails squelching as they slowly pulled out... he would feel the floor shifting under his feet... God forbid he would see the 1,000 gal tank moving!

I think we've concluded this one... this myth is busted!

you're missing the point! we just want to see a MFK idea appear on tv!

Unless he had a patio with a sliding glass door that was accessable (sp). Then it would be totally plausible. Woot!
