you think I could put a wolf fish in the tank there's one for sale buy me for 60 bucks was thinking about it
not in a 125g.......Wolffish get 3 feet......find out what type of Gar you have before you get MOOOOORE fish,

what are you gonna do if it turns out to be an Alligator Gar and grows 8 feet long???.......most Gar I know of get at least 24" anyway

Pike too.....

Ok well I talked to the guy I got gar from he's a spotted gar an the pike only gets to be about 10-12" from what everything I've read about it says

10-12 inches is big for a pike cichlid and they are highly aggressive. Most will attack fish much bigger than them and eat anything a third of their size! But make amazing additions to a predator tank... With him and the spotted gar I would say you are close to being full. Maybe one or two more bottom dweller (like the red wolf fish) so they don't share the same water space as the others.

No ery ery for ur tank Achilles1763 Achilles1763 . It's too small for the tankmates. Plus they don't like elongated fish like pike cichlids, especially large ones. There will be a territorial issue there.

It would be a snack for the larger gars (spotted, Florida, and gator).

A common wolf fish can get up to 20
Inches in home aqauriums if kept properly.

I think you need to get the gar identified first then consider tankmates there after.

Also if the gar is the larger type ( spotted, Florida, or gator) then ull need a big tank and more so if u want tankmates in there. Not sure of what tank size u have already.
