Polyodon spatula is the only species that is ever available, correct me if I'm wrong. The Chinese species is probably extinct, never even seen a picture of one, ever. anyone?

are we from different worlds ? they're breeding cichlas in singapore, and they're like orinocensis are like 10-20 bucks anywhere, in japan, hong kong and u.s. so I'm sure you're just not looking at the right place.

the paddlefish, are you sure they're chinese? or just american paddle fish exported and kept in china which they're doing. the real one looks like a cross between a sturgeon and paddle fish, maybe phil can chime in, on the scientific name, I can't recall, is if not already extinct.

seriously....i dont think they are Orinocensis. the ones that are being bred, the ones they call mono's. or thats what dad keeps calling them. and yes, they were definitely chinese. the two species are different in several distinct ways....
