Your Tank Is Fabulous .
I have a pair of Red Oscar's and they did what yours are doing just now
Then they settled down and started not wanting to be very far from each other , and did the shimmy dance ! next thing they rearranged the tank the way they wanted it , cleaned a piece of granite slab and laid eggs !
First & Second times the eggs were eaten .
Third time they got to wrigglers ... for a day !
This Time ... for the past week now I have fry swimming about the tank .
Maybe this is going to be the next step for you , it's great to watch the way they look after their babies , if one swims a little far away , one of them swims over and sucks it up and swims back to the group and spits it back along with all the others .
I've had my Oscar's for a couple of years now and the male is about 12 inches and the female is a little over 10 inches .

For the compliments on the tank as well...
I guess we'll see in time if there will be actual spawning, i'm glad things are working out smoothly, for i have had bad tankmates for my red before, but this is better then i expected!
