hay veryone is there a type of sturgeon that can live in warmer water. i have never heard of one and just wanted to know if anyone knows of any. if so where can i get one thanks

I got a small sturgeon at my lfs, they were keeping him at 75 and I keep him at about 70, I am not sure what type of Sturgeon he is but I am thinking it is a type of Lake Sturgeon (looks like one at least). Either way he is active, eating and pooping so I am assuming he is doing Okay. I do have to say though, they are not the smartest fish, he litterally has to run into food before he eats it and he constantly runs into other fish and plants, also he moves well but is not very fast.

NEED COLD WATER!!!
They DIe Slowly In Warm Water.

What kind of food do you feed him? mines don't eat anything except frozen blood worm.

my buddy used to have one, only kept it in warm water....very cool fish just kept doing laps all day in the current.

I don't know of any that tolerate tropical tank temperatures

How big of a tank do you need for a small sturgeon? Are there any you can keep when they're full-grown?

Yes there are several that can be kept for life but you need either a pond or huge unheated tank. Sterlets max at around 3', stellates at around 5' and siberians near 6'.

ya i want one but cant find any
